Priority Points System Questions and Answers

Q. Why has the current priority seating policy changed?

A. In order to reward long-time Monarchs fans who have purchased season tickets and contributed to the Big Blue Club and meet the increasing costs of athletics.

Q. Why do we need a point system?

A. The point system is intended to provide a fair and equitable system to deliver priority-seating opportunities to our donors. The point system rewards long-time supporters and encourages current contributions to the Big Blue Club.

Q. What factors are considered in the points system?

A. A donor?s lifetime gifts, current year's gift, and the total number of basketball season tickets purchased. Pledges accumulate points once they are paid.

It's important to note that a donor must make their current year Big Blue Club gift to qualify for priority seating within the Big Blue Club section.

Q. How can I improve my ranking before the September 15th deadline?

A. If you haven't yet made your current Big Blue Club gift, make it before the deadline. If you already have you may increase your gift and improve your point total.

Q. How often will seats be reallocated?

A. Seats will be reallocated every three years. As a long as a donor maintains their current annual gift they will retain their seats for that period. It is important to note that increased annual giving will result in higher point totals at the end of three years.

Q. How can I improve my seats before seat reallocation?

A. A ticket holder may request improved seating if his/her current annual gift has increased resulting in a higher Big Blue Club ranking, provided that better seats have become available.

Q. What happens if I do not renew my Big Blue Club contribution and season ticket order form by the deadline?

A. In order to qualify for priority seating you must make your current Big Blue Club gift. All seats that are not renewed and Big Blue Club contributions not made by the deadline become available to move upgrades and new donors based on their priority ranking.

Q. What is the minimum donation to the Big Blue Club to purchase tickets in the priority seating section?

A. A $100 donation is the minimum to purchase two season tickets.

Q. Do I have to contribute to the Big Blue Club in order to purchase season tickets?

A. No, season tickets are available in other areas of the Constant Convocation Center. Big Blue Club members have the right to purchase the best available seats.

Q. What if I have the same number of points as another fan?

A. Priority will be given to the fan with the longest history.

Q. Can I purchase additional season tickets beyond my Big Blue Club membership?

A. Yes, you can purchase additional tickets, however the seats will not be allocated in the priority seating section. Additional season tickets will be assigned in the best available location in the arena.
