ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Old Dominion sailors came away with a 14th place finish at the 2008 Truxtum Umstead Regatta at the Naval Academy. In A division, sophomore skipper Kyle Rogachenko sailed with junior crew Alissa Ayres to 8th place with 172 points after 18 complete races. The team finished with 623 total points after 18 races complete in three divisions of sailing.
Rogachenko and Ayres paced the team with the 8th place effort in A division. They had 10 top ten finishes including one win and seven finishes among the top five boats.
In B division, Mikey Brown and Erin Green finished 15th with 221 total points. The junior skipper and crew tandem had seven top ten finishes and grabbed back-to-back finishes in the top three boats.
Sophomore Kevin Shockey sailed singlehanded in C division, finishing 15th among the 20 teams. He had four top ten efforts.
