Old Dominion University's only male All-American swimmer won 18 medals in Virginia
State Intercollegiate Championships and set or shared five university individual and three relay
records between 1970 and 1974.
Clark also set career and season records for points scored, was selected as team Most
Valuable Player his junior and senior year, and twice served as team captain. He earned NCAA
Division II All-American honors in 1973 in the 100-yard freestyle competition.
Clark has since coached football, volleyball and golf at his alma mater Norfolk Catholic
High School, football at Cradock High and the Old Dominion University Bounty Otters' Swim
Club. He has also raised funds for the Old Dominion swim teams, and helped keep play-by-play records at Old Dominion's men's and women's basketball home games. He was also named
teacher-of-the-year at Cradock.
