Austin, Texas - The fourth ranked Longhorns of Texas defeated No. 63 Old Dominion 6-1 in men's tennis action Wednesday night at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center in Austin. With the win UT improves to 12-2, while the Monarchs fall to 15-10.

In doubles UT's 44th ranked tandem of Miguel Reyes Varela and Luis Diaz defeated Alex Seleznev and Eidy Igarashi 8-5 at No. 1, while at No. 3 the Longhorns clinched the doubles point as Bernhard Deussner and Jon Wiegand defeated the ODU duo of Matt Fawcett and Timo Gehrke, 8-4. Rodrigo Souza and Tobias Fanselow and registered the Monarchs only doubles victory at No. 2 with a 9-8 decision over Hubert Chodkiewicz and Ed Corrie.

In singles action Gehrke proved to be the only bright spot for the Monarchs as he defeated Wiegand in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
